What is the Library of English Literature (LEL)?

The LEL part one (published in microfiche) provides the corpus of English literature from the beginnings to the Restoration. The material in this collection contains all major and minor works of poetry, drama and prose of the period together with the principal scholarship, religious and intellectual texts. Each item is cataloged in the library's online catalog. The call number begins with LEL.
